Ganga Mãe
A Ganga corre no meu coração.
Leva com ela toda ilusão.

Só pode ser uma presença divina.
Força do bem, força que me domina.

O Santo Daime e a Ganga Mãe,
O beija-flor pôs uma gota de néctar
Na flor de Lótus do meu coração
Ganga Mãe
The Ganga flows in my heart
Takes with it all illusion

It can only be a divine presence
Force of good, force that dominates me

The Ganga is a precious mother
Her waters wash my past lives
Takes them far away, oh bountiful mother
All the hurts and all the karmas

There was a war of gods in the air
There in Benares, I went down the stairs
Walking here in the dark gates
Looking at the ashes of what once was

Then I thought of making it to the other side
It was this that I asked in that dark cave
To Lord Shiva, a message
Of peace, love free future

Lord, what do I do here in this instant
In which the other instant comes to present itself
I almost don’t have time to feel
Much less to think

Child, it is here, it is here in this moment
That your mind can stop
And the distance between this two points
Is the eternity that you came looking for

And so, ending here my journey
Santo Daime and Ganga Mae
The hummingbird put a drop of nectar
In the Lotus Flower of my heart
